Feel Like I'm On Borrowed Time...

Okay. A whole week has passed since the morons running the apartment complex where I live were supposed to conduct an inspection. And thus far, I haven't heard word one from them, let alone had the inspection take place.

Me, I can't help but be suspicious about the whole thing. So I'm treating this as the calm before the storm. So before the business week starts, I thought I'd give everyone warning that I have no idea what's going on with these utter incompetents. I don't trust them in the slightest, and that there's every chance that things could hit the fan without warning. So I'm doing my best to get as much stuff done as fast as I can, just in case things go from bad to worse in a big hurry.

High on my list of priorities, needless to say, is tracking down a new place to live. While I'm not keeping an eye on things here, I'm going to be following up some leads that look promising. Here's hoping that at least a few pan out.

Anyway, I got some more news stories from my friend, Leesan3077.

Next, Turkey's national airline has barred female flight attendants from wearing lipstick. So naturally, secular Turks are now worried that the country is becoming more Islamic. The third and final bit of news is in regards to something I've found myself wondering about frequently. What is with all the tasteless, offensive ads as of late? I mean, take this one in particular. It's a 60 second online commercial for Mountain Dew, featuring a battered white woman on crutches trying to pick a suspect out of a lineup of black men, with a talking goat in the lineup makes threatening remarks to her until the woman runs out of the room screaming. Now, some people might find that kind of thing absurd and thus amusing, but me? Yee-uck. I find myself wondering what the heck is stuffed between some people's ears that's supposed to be acting as a brain. And while we're on the subject of things that are tasteless and offensive, I've had the misfortune to happen upon another member of DeviantArt whose works I would strongly recommend you avoid. His name is zig567, and he specializes in doing series of 3D renders featuring a heavily muscled girl belittling, assaulting, torturing, and ultimately murdering a much weaker girl. He justifies these grotesque acts by having the slim girl (whom he refers to as 'skinnies') punching or acting out against the muscle girl, only for the muscle girl to act like it was nothing before commencing with the brutality. He claims this is entertainment of the same kind as "PopEye", "Coyote and RoadRunner", or "Tom & Jerry", and will be exceedingly rude to those who call him out for his sadism.

Honestly, how can anybody consider that kind of cruelty and maliciousness entertaining?
