Ugh...I'm Wiped...!

As I'm sure all of you have noticed, I've been rather unresponsive for the most in recent times. Not exactly keeping in touch with everyone.

Well, the fact is that I've been rather bogged down since my last journal, and have been kept hopping by...well, a lot.

First, I managed to get my van over to a collision shop run by a friend of the man who owns the apartment I'm renting, and he was able to confirm that, while van's front is mashed, there's no leakage or damage as a result of the crackup, so while it's not pretty, I'll still be able to drive it for the foreseeable future.

Second, I have more good news. I managed to get in touch with my admissions advisor over at Baker College, and have confirmed that my Pell grant has been approved. I am now applying for more financial aid. In fact, I spent a fair amount of the day today over at Baker, getting that ball rolling.

Now for the less pleasant reasons why I've been relatively out of touch a lot.

First, I suffered a rather nasty computer crash, which cost me some data. I had to spend some time, recovering all that I could, but even then I had to spend a lot of time redoing some stuff, which was no fun at all.

Next, my internet connection has been very bad lately, and I've even had to deal with some power outages. Making them even more frustrating is the fact that they've been happening seemingly at random. I would get online, everything would look fine for a few minutes, and then I'm cut off again. Now try to imagine going through that for several days and tell me that you wouldn't get at least a little bit frustrated.

Finally, I've been devoting a fair amount of effort to clearing up some stories and getting commissions that have been on hold for far too long as a result of my life being a complete mess. I've been hard at work for days on end, trying to get as much done as possible, and...I don't mind admitting that I'm pretty tired with all the stuff I'm trying to get done.

I'm sorry if this sounds like a pile of excuses, but it is all the honest truth. And I hope you all understand.
